PERFORMANCE TRIP

Who:               6th, 7th & 8th grade band students

What:              Spring Band Trip to Frontier City Amusement Park and Heartland Music Festival

When:              Saturday, May 4, 2024

                                    6:00am                        CBMS Band Room Opens

                                    6:30am                        Depart CBMS Band Room on School Buses

                                    8:30am                        Arrive Edmond Santa Fe HS for Performances

                                                                        1901 W 15th St ~ Edmond, OK

                                                                        (Family members & friends are welcome to come and watch!)

                                    9:20am                        Beginning Band Performs

                                    10:00am          7th & 8th Grade Bands Perform

                                    10:40am          CBMS Jazz Band Performs

                                    11:00am          Load Equipment and Buses and Head to Frontier City Amusement Park

                                                                        11501 N I35 Service Rd ~ Oklahoma City OK 

                                    6:00pm            Awards Ceremony in the Park

                                                             (Note: this schedule has been updated to include the awards ceremony at 6pm.  We will arrive home later than originally planned.)

                                    7:00pm            Report Back to Buses for Roll Call & Pizza

                                    9:00pm            Back Home at CBMS

Dress:              Sandite Bands T-Shirt, blue jeans or shorts, & tennis shoes (closed toe)  

(Students might want to bring a baggy for their belongings so they don’t get wet on the rides, or they may bring a change of clothes in case they get wet.)

Lunch:             Students will be given a lunch voucher to eat at the park

                                    **Student’s may also bring extra $$$ for food & souvenirs at Frontier City**

Band App Communication:            In order to communicate with the kids as effectively as possible during their trip, we have worked with them to download the BAND app through which we can text them as a group.  It is important that they bring their cell phones if they have one.  If they haven’t yet been able to download the app (or if parents would like to stay in the loop) you can download it at the link below.
