Hotel Expectations: We are arriving late, others will be asleep, so we have a responsibility to keep it quiet and be respectful. We will go straight to our rooms and stay in there. There will be plenty of time to visit on Sunday! You will have a sponsor assigned to your room. In the morning, before going to the buses, be sure that sponsor checks your room. We put all trash in the cans, all sheets back on beds (not ‘made’, but on there!), towels in the tub, and general sense that self-respecting people stayed there.
Breakfast is provided by the hotel. Most likely in the lobby, but it’ll be obvious. If you want to eat, be sure you do so in plenty of time to get your room checked and be on the buses on time.
Sunday
Room Chks: 9:00am
Arrive SDC: 10:00am
You’ll be given a ticket and lunch voucher. After that, you’re on your own.
You will want to bring some money for other things you want to do inside (shopping, games, etc)
Meet to Leave: 5:00pm
Meet back where we dropped off. Don’t be late!!!
Home: 9:00pm (roughly)
Be sure your ride is here waiting on you.
We will stop on the way home so you can grab something to eat and use restrooms.
Things to Bring:
Wear green phoenix shirt & shorts for performance day downtime
Full uniform (incl. black socks, marching shoes, etc)
Instrument/Flags
Jacket in case it’s chilly
Clothes for SDC (check weather)
Money for snacks, games, dinner on way home, etc
Charger for phone (power bank for buses?)
One of the things of which I’m most proud is the fact that we ALWAYS get compliments from hotel management, restaurants, etc for the way you all behave. Make good choices and don’t do or bring anything that’s not school-appropriate. That can ruin everyone’s trip. We represent CPHS and Sand Springs at large. You get to do SO many things that your classmates don’t because of your ability to handle this sort of expectation. Let’s keep it up! It MATTERS!!!
