Call TIme: 5:30pm SUITED UP!
We aren’t feeding you dinner this week. Please plan on taking care of your self between the end of school and call time.
It’s senior night, so we will perform one part of our show and then move right into senior recognition.
You’ll have 3rd quarter off and 4th quarter will be without seniors.
INFO FOR PARENTS OF SENIORS:
· When there are 6 minutes left on the 2nd quarter clock, report to the band room.
· We will line up in alphabetical order (see below) and proceed out to the sidelines together.
· After the band’s halftime show, the recognition of seniors will begin.
· Meet your senior at the top of the “50” on the field and turn to have your photo taken together.
· Then follow him/her in the direction they take you.
· After the ceremony, we will leave the field and head to the cafeteria for the reception.

The general idea is that, following the band’s half-time performance, the announcer reads a short bit of information about each senior as he/she is met on the field by his/her parents or guardians/family. A quick photo is taken and you move aside for the next group. After all seniors have been recognized, they will play the fight song and you will all leave the field.
Following that, you are invited to a reception in the CPHS Cafeteria. Refreshments will be served and a gift will be presented to each senior from the band boosters. In the past, many parents have brought gifts for their seniors too (eg-flowers for the girls, etc.). If you do bring a gift of flowers, please feel free to present them on the field so they can be included in the photo.
This is one of the most important events that the Gold Pride Band performs each year and I sure hope that you are able to be a part of it. It’s important to acknowledge the years of service these kids have put in and celebrate the growth they have achieved as well as their plans for the future.
Parents, grandparents, etc are all welcome to attend and accompany your senior on field for their recognition and to the reception following, but please RSVP via the form emailed to your senior with the number of attendees you will have so that we can be sure to have enough treats at our reception for your family. If, in the meantime, you need more specifics, please email or call. Thanks!
