THIS IS THE FINAL VERSION OF THE CONTEST SCHEDULE…

YUKON CONTEST INFORMATION

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 5, 2022

Please keep an eye on your email this week in case school is out.

 That MAY or MAY NOT affect this weekend’s contest. 

Don’t assume that it’s canceled if we are out of school.

 

Call Time at CPHS Band Room:                   9:30am

Depart for Yukon, OK:                                    10:00am

Arrive at Yukon HS:                                          Noon

                                                                                Lunch will be provided (No money necessary)

Color Guard:     

                Suited Up/Make-Up:                      Per Hannah

                Warm-Up:                                           1:37pm (B)

                Perform:                                              1:58pm

Drumlines:

                Suited up and ready to go:           1:30pm

                Warm-Up in the Lot:                       1:45pm

                MS Drumline Performs:                 2:43pm

                HS Drumline Performs:                  3:03pm

We will load the semi-trailer immediately afterward (around 3:15pm).

Depart for Home:                                             4:00pm (Snacks for the ride will be provided.)

Arrive at CPHS:                                                  6:00pm (Be sure your ride is there waiting for you!)

HS performers will unload the semi-trailer on Monday morning.

 

 

 

Dress for travel/down-time:

                Wear you show shirt and clothes appropriate for the weather, bearing in mind that you will need to change clothes into your performance gear and back into regular clothes.

                Bring your phones, etc and something to do during down-time and the bus ride.  It’s a long bus ride! 

                You CAN bring money for concession stands if you like, but you shouldn’t NEED any. 

Parents:              

There is an entry fee for spectators of $10 (I believe).  Please assume that they will only accept cash. 

We DO need a couple of chaperones to ride the bus and help with feeding the performers and their admission to the event will be free.

It’s really quite painless and fun to be around them as they work hard to do their best!
