KSU Contest

Itinerary & Info

Saturday October 22

 

8:00am                        Call Time, Load Buses & Depart

                                    Wear RED Incredibles t-shirt and shorts.  (Color Guard too) 

We will do our clinic in this outfit rather than full uniforms!

                                    Watch the weather & bring whatever is necessary.

 

                        We will stop for lunch en route  (Bring $$)

                        Phillips 66/ McDonald’s

                                    Hwy 35 N of Wellington Exit

                                    (Exit is @ 70th Ave North – LEFT exit)

 

2:30pm            Arrive at Bill Snyder Stadium (KSU) & Set-Up

                                    2201 Kimball Ave

                                    Manhattan, KS 66502

 

                                    Buses & semi will enter the East side via Gate 9.

                                    Personal vehicles will need to park elsewhere away from the buses.

                                    Parking is very tight, we’re told.  Please follow instructions on site.

                                    The instructions I was given say Gates 3 & 5 (though it seems to change a lot)

 

 

4:00pm            Clinic with KSU Staff (Indoor Facility)

                                    In shorts, RED Incredibles shirts, and Crossover shoes

                                    We will take full front ensemble, but don’t need ladders for DM’s.

                                    Parents are very welcome to come along and watch!

 

5:00pm            Dinner at Buses (Provided)

                                    McAllister’s Boxes

 

                        Suit up in time to go to warm-up (Full uniform)

 

7:15pm            Warm-Up

 

7:45pm            Perform in Stadium

                                    Tickets for spectators are available at the ticket booth left of the Bill Snyder statue.

                                    $10 for adults, $5 for students.

                                    Band members and bus sponsors will receive wrist bands.

 

                                    DM’s & Drummers…  Announcer script…

          • Are the judges ready?...

          • Is the band ready?... (DM salute)

        • Charles Page HS, you may enter the field in festival performance…

        • There will be staff there to direct you what to do from the tunnel.

Following the performance, there will be group pictures. 

You can purchase one if you like.  I don’t have the order form at this time.

 

8:30pm            Load Trailer & Depart for Hotel

                                    Holliday Inn at the Campus

                                    1641 Anderson Ave.

                                    Manhattan, KS 66502

 

11:00pm          Room Check & Lights Out

                                    The same procedures/expectations are in effect as for the Branson trip.

 

Sunday October 23

 

8:00am                        Breakfast in Hotel (Provided) – maybe earlier?

 

10:00am          Chaperone Room-Check and Check-Out

                        Depart for Home

                        Lunch en route – Same place or somewhere else if we see a good spot (Bring $$)

 

4:30pm            Home

                        We will unload the semi on Monday at 8:30am
