Hotel Expectations

When we travel, we leave a great impression among hotel staffs about what we do at CPHS.  Here’s how…

We keep it quiet in the hotel…no running, screaming, etc.  There are other people there and we won’t ruin their experience.

We segregate rooms by born gender.  If you want to hang out, do so in the lobby, by the pool, or worst case, in the hall (see above).

At “lights out” a chaperone will come by and check on your room.  Everyone, and only those, who should be in there must be there and remain so until morning.  The schedule is designed to maximize your effectiveness at your mission while in town.

We do not abuse the work of hotel staff by trashing our rooms.  When you leave each day be sure you have…

  • Trash in bins, not floors

  • Sheets on bed (not made, but not on floors)

  • Towels in tub

  • Generally impression that successful human beings have been there. If in doubt, default to cleaner!

We generally leave the place as good or even better than it was when we got there.  We routinely hear that ours is among the BEST HS groups they’ve ever hosted.   KEEP IT UP!!!!!  IT MATTERS!

Contest Info for Parents:

There is an entry fee to be a spectator at the contest.  I don’t know as of this printing how much that is, but please be prepared to pay for tickets.  Most likely, it will be cash only.  These events, while focused on performance and competition, are still fundraisers for the hosting groups, so we should support that, just as we would expect visitors to our events to do so.  Thanks!
